FYI, there are still files from 2015 in Dota 2 folder, that steam will redownload even if deleted manually, so folder size is floating at 60 GB. (github.com)

Just edited the github issue with this info:

  • Running find -type f -print0 | xargs -0 truncate -s 0 in game\dota\panorama\videos and game\dota_addons worked, all files are truncated to zero size and game works without any issues.

I run the game with no intro video, if you need intro video, you can keep it, it's located in game\dota\panorama\videos folder.

Valve defender's version is that they are there because they are still used somewhere, but we as users can't know where exactly they are used.

I had no issues running the game after truncating those files.
