Winter density (green) and Forellenschluss (red speckled). Both are romaine. 
the red speckled one is kinda scary, it looks like it's covered in blood.

Totally! They sell it here as Freckles (which is actually a cute name!) as well. Itās an old Austrian variety and I find the name nice and unique. I also speak German so I have an unfair advantage.

I didnāt plant kale but the Swiss chard is coming as well.
We had some really bad rain recently and the lettuces that didn't drown (or didn't get smashed by hail), suffocated in the following heatwave, two days later. Enjoy your lettuces!!!
