Are we? Look at this Hollywood nonsense:

The cause of the crash was not a direct result of an enemy missile strike, the Ukrainian military claims.

It said the pilot destroyed three cruise missiles and one drone in Russia's largest aerial attack to date.

"Oleksiy saved Ukrainians from deadly Russian missiles," the Ukrainian Air Force wrote in a statement on social media. "Unfortunately, at the cost of his own life."

That's textbook heroisation. "Our brave patriot boi shot down ebil enemies and SAAAAVED lives then tragically perished while Aerosmith is playing in the background"

Closer at least in a sense that "it wasn't an oopsie" and "an accident". Anyway, what do you want them to do, admit it was plainly squashed by a Russian missile while being hidden in a hangar? That's not how western capitalist propaganda works. Of course they're gonna have to spin it
