That's a very mealy-mouthed statement for what is basically just "they decided not to invest in security so they could have more money". It makes me sick as an infosec professional seeing publications like this that try and make us feel bad for the poor widdle IT corporation which had to choose between profits and protecting it's own clients (which is the whole job!!). Like I give af.

And of course, they're trying to pin the blame on Russia in the article. The US is such a clown show. Hopefully the electoral politics gets heated enough heads start to roll (literally), there's certainly enough on both sides (the DNC moreso though, surprisingly) to see each other hang and everyone knows it.

Looking forward to a "year of 4+ POTUSes" myself... it really will be the best case scenario for everyone.
