This sign has a facebook page.

...

I hate this future.

I don't need a time machine. Just a machine that flips me to a different timeline. Big quantum egg turner.

Congrats, you're now on the timeline where Hitler won. No Facebook there but Fressebuch is pretty much the same. Enjoy!

Turn it again! Turn it again!!

Depression never ended, and the robber barons own everything. Good news is housing is cheaper, but food slightly more expensive.

[-] NegativeInf@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Ok. This seems workable. A worker revolution is easier when food is the crux.

This is pretty close to the plot for The Number of the Beast. 6^6^6 realities to move across.

Oh, you've never heard of https://elarroyo.com ?

It's sign is so famous, it has its own books, postcards, shirts, coasters and much much more.

I have lived down the street from this place for over a decade and had no idea there was a history in their name. On top of that it is mediocre, overpriced, Tex-mex.

I just realized... a previous lemmy post I saw appears to be this sign.

I've been trying to pull the same scam, but every time I buy a homing pigeon to get started, it flies away and never comes back!

[-] weeeeum@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Isn't this a real service people provide?. Like when releasing doves or other birds at a funeral or wedding, they are trained to fly back to the owners, so they are able to lease them out many times over

[-] IMongoose@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Yes, kind of. Homing pigeons will naturally fly back home, training them just involves releasing them further and further away.

I paid for a hummingbird on craigslist. didn't quite get what I was expecting but I walked away satisfied
