I fear the real numbers will be like post-war Soviet Union. 20-25% of Gaza dead in the following years and many more crippled physically and mentally. Israel is erasing a culture.
The most recent estimate outside of the US state department is well over 300k. That is taking into account the Lancet's estimate of 186k by military violence earlier this July and estimating further indirect deaths due to disease and starvation based on previous conflicts of total war against civilians.
Gaza has likely already lost 20% of its population.
That's... terrifying to imagine. I hope Hamas can force Israel into a treaty soon.
Not gonna lie, I hope that whatever is inflicted on the Palestinians, returns back to the Zionist occupiers and all those western devils supporting the genocide in full and then some.
This is an estimate the actual one is probably way higher
It's not an estimate, this is just the number of confirmed bodies that have been recovered.
Estimates put it in the hundreds of thousands.
No way. I normally completely believe the Ministry of Health and TeleSUR, but this seems impossible. 40 thousand is where the death toll was months ago. Best explanation I can think of is the MoH is unable to properly assess the numbers currently, and this is only the deaths they have confirmed.
edit: obviously this is what's happening, these are just the deaths the MoH has been able to confirm individually. I wish telesur had worked on that angle more, because this shows the complete breakdown of such infrastructure in Gaza that the official death tally has barely moved since May. The Municipality of Gaza is resorting to a fundraiser to supply water and treat waste amid a health crisis, please donate if you can.
Notice that this only only covers identified bodies which reached a hospital. The zionist entity destroyed most hospitals...
Blown to unidentifiable bits? Not part of ther number. Starved to death somewhere and the body left there or burried? Not in the number. Died of sickness and burried in place? Not in the number. Dead under the rubble? Not in the number.
Lancet estimated 180.000 a few months ago. Not unlikely that this estimation can be set closer to 200.000 now.
It's been about 40k for months now.
Triple that number and then I'll believe it
