Slowly but surely. I can no longer check porn subs on Joey for Reddit so I might try to accelerate the migration.

[-] MrFlamey@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Still checking Reddit a bit, but mostly because I've been following the war in Ukraine there a lot. Not checking other subs as much and installed Lemmy Connect, which makes Lemmy nicer to use than Reddit

[-] goodgame@feddit.uk 2 points 1 year ago

Well, this is nice, hello

[-] ERRR00000000000@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Not totally. Reddit is a shithole but it's my shithole

[-] EeeDawg101@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

I’m fully on Lemmy now except when I need to find historical information - for example episode discussions from a TV show or how to fix computer issues, etc.

[-] thatonedude1210@beehaw.org 2 points 1 year ago

I already have. There are some specialized subreddits I still peek at, but otherwise it's Lemmy all the way.

[-] technohacker@programming.dev 2 points 1 year ago

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

[-] MigratingtoLemmy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Other than some specific subs, yes

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

Yes. This exactly.

[-] noisy@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

I think I accidentally opened reddit once, trying to get an answer from a google search. I'm done with Reddit.

My third eldest, Larissa, she was talking about this just last week. She is very smart, I’ll give her that, because she was the first in the family to go to university. And she passed with distinctions. So we’re all quite proud of her.

i still have a million things 'saved' on reddit i need to check out and there's that one niche sub i lurk that doesn't seem to want to migrate but other than that yeah this is it for me. lemm.ee + wefwef

[-] Jeff@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago
[-] notun@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

No, because the niche subs aren't alive here.

[-] moonwalker@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Yes. I haven't used reddit since I signed up for Lemmy.

[-] Zellith@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Deleted my comments and account and now I'm here. Though Im kinda trying to get off social media and so I'm on lemmy sparingly. Trying to be more productive with my time.

[-] biomatter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 year ago

Im using this ios app Memmy. It reminds me so much of Apollo. Now just need to give some so all the communities switch to lemmy. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/memmy-for-lemmy/id6450204299

[-] thawed_caveman@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I would like to, but let's be real, i had a question about a game today and i went to Reddit because that game deosn't have a Lemmy community.

Reddit has more people, more content, and more history. Only an actual collapse will make Lemmy a superior alternative.

[-] FARTYSHARTBLAST@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Mostly, yeah.

[-] hardypart@feddit.de 1 points 1 year ago

100%. Lemmy is my new drug.

[-] Vestria@beehaw.org 1 points 1 year ago

I abandoned Reddit entirely when Sync shut down. Beehaw and Lemmy at large seem like a (mostly) great place and I'm here to stay.

[-] martyc3@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I was fairly new to Reddit but really liked the way it was organized by topic. It was easy for me to delete my few posts and then delete my account. So I'm now rooting for Lemmy and seeing nice progress. Also looked at Threads and was amazed how well it worked right out of the gate. It shows what a multi million dollar budget can accomplish.

[-] fratermus@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 1 year ago
[-] Cyantraveller@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Yes, I still have to get some info from my reddit account before deleting everything, but soon.

[-] SecretPancake@feddit.de 1 points 1 year ago

Yes I deleted my Reddit account a week before Apollo was dead.

[-] Lemmyatem@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Yes. Just hoping lots of communities get as popular as asklemmy and showerthoughts. Sad looking up some Reddit equivalents and seeing 2 subscribers and no posts.

[-] SuperHumanNot@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

I'm replacing Reddit with Lemmy.

[-] Curious_Canid@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

I haven't deleted anything on reddit, but I have not been back there since the protests began. The Fediverse is my new home and I am happy to be here.

[-] JaCrispy@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

I'm slowly transitioning over to Lemmy with the goal of eventually ditching Reddit.

[-] indite@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 year ago

gock.........

[-] donut4ever@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

This whole past week, I've only checked out reddit like 3 times through infinity for reddit since it still works. Site is getting really boring and dull. Once infinity stops, I'm leaving for good. Their official app is trash. I have it patched through revanced manager so I don't see ads and her premium features, but still can't use it. Just terrible.

[-] moridinbg@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I doomscroll only here, but I still refer (read only) to some niche communities for historical information on reddit. It’s still too small here for the small niches to have an active community. Trying to post more here too

[-] cicapocok@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

I pretty much did already, still check on 2 or 3 communities when I am front of a computer but I hope lemmy while become more active and I will not feel like I am missing out.

[-] HeyJoe@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Trying to completely leave reddit as of a few days ago when boost finally stopped working. I haven't been back so far and this is my primary site now and also following discuit in hopes it grows bigger than it currently is.

I know I will use reddit for work when I have technical questions but that's it.

[-] schwim@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Completely switched the day before 3d party access was monetized and crippled.
