Honestly I prefer this to Microsoft Edge stealing (importing) all my chrome passwords and bookmarks without my consent. Something they do from time to time.

They could stop charging gamers a subscription to play the paid games (they "own") online.

This could attract some customers that don't want to deal with PC or don't want to add fixed costs to their monthly or yearly bill.

TLDR:

The Ministry of Culture (and a few more: Social Development, Education, Women, Labor) will all get merged into a new one called Ministry of Human Capital.

Actually...consumers end up paying for it. Companies will just increase prices as when the Government taxes them.

For a lot of positions. Remote work is not just the past and the present. It is also the future.

The app is amazing and I'm not against the Dev just because of what they are charging. They can charge whatever they want, if there is a market willing to pay it's fine.

But 115€ lifetime is like 10-20 times more than the price I would pay. So as a consumer I'll just stay with the free version or another Lemmy app.

As a former infinity user, "Infinity for Lemmy" is the one I'm waiting for. I'm also interested in trying Voyager android app once it is released.

Now this "sync for Lemmy" app looks very well probably the best Lemmy app at the moment. Only thing is lacking for me (so far) is to have community icons in the small cards post layout. (So I can identify what's the topic is about before reading the title).

For the text size I changed base text to Medium and then I changed the specific description and comment relative text size to "Regular". This gives me the same text size as Infinity, at least in the comments.

I really want this. But at the same time I'm really worried about how much battery life this is going to drain. If it's less than 1% every 24 hours I'm ok with it. If it's more, nope.

Google in the past years is focusing a lot in adding more and more services while forgetting that what the people just want is to have a phone that lasts the entire day and can fit in normal pockets.

I can't make 7 days to die work with VRR (FreeSync).

Any reason it is not working?

Game is native linux, game has 2 engines (GLCore and Vulkan). I use GLCore because Vulkan I think it's beta and crashes. Game also has some launcher.

OS: Ubuntu 23.04, running it with Xorg. VRR works in other games (like games running with Proton).

Thanks in advance

Edit: nevermind. I installed Plasma Wayland and VRR works out of the box. I'll use plasma while playing this game. And go back to gnome for other games.

I'm still interested in making VRR work in gnome for this game. But workaround is found.

I'm starting to believe that somebody could be bribing some Reddit managers to start destroying it from the inside.

They can't just make so many negative decisions in so little time.

On another thought, they are trying to operate slowly like a Netflix or Spotify. But the content is from users who dont consider the app as "work". Unlike singers and actors.

To me Firefox is the best browser.

I use Chrome because I'm lazy to move, I have my stuff synced in there and I use it also with my phone (Google Pixel). But lately I'm considering Firefox more and more. At least I now have it installed in my phone and specifically use it for some stuff.

Recently I wanted to transfer one 20GB file to my brother and I ended up using FileZilla.

But before that I tried some quick effortless solutions (like opening Skype/Teams and using that) and I failed.

I miss opening the IM app and quickly transfer something.
