You're making her a blanket.

I'm making her a blanket

Correction: You were making a bag, now you are making a blanket. Kitty has decided for you.

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 year ago

Well, technically, you're right. I paused the bag bc I need more crochet thread and started on a blanket for her

[-] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 28 points 1 year ago

A bag is just a blanket you sit inside.

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 year ago

That's definitely her logic

she's probably going to be okay with you making her a bag.

edit: also, what pattern are you using for the more open sections?

(though one time I made a giant floppy laundry basket and my parent's dachshund was visiting over thinking it was a dog bed, so, this definitely happens.)

Most of the things I make are for her, so I understand her confusion. I bet that dachshund was adorable in their new bed ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's a bat lace bag pattern! This pattern is not mine, btw. My partner said I might want to clarify that ๐Ÿ˜…

It's simple. Turn this into a blanket for her. Then make a bag.

I have chosen a different path in which I make her a blanket with a neat lil heart stitch that I'm pretty sure I'm not doing right

[-] Curious_Canid@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago

That's perfect. And she won't mind if the stitching is off.

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 year ago

That's the most comforting thought? Thank you so much

It doesn't matter what you were making; it's Bitty's now.

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 year ago

You got me there. Also, I love that you recognized her!

[-] over_clox@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

It's cat. You make bag, you can carry kitty.

It's the rules of nature, right? ๐Ÿฑ

I wish we had fan club goodies for you

Bitty's wonderful crocheted clothes would be wasted on me, as my cat hates clothes. He did tolerate being dressed as a sailor once.

He may allow a bandana to exist. He is OK with collars

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

If you're interested in trying, dm me and I'll make him one!

[-] weeeeum@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Hmmmm... Do you think he would look stylish in one?

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Very much so! I have a cream colored yarn that would make a great spiderweb bandana, too

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 year ago

You know Bitty. Always strikin

[-] weeeeum@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

After she's done napping with her "blanket"

[-] Sasnak@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 year ago

To be fair, she's been striking a lot while I work on it. She keeps biting my crochet thread in half as it's coming out of my bowl ๐Ÿ˜…
