The remake of Silent Hill 2 honors the great audiovisual work that Konami released in 2001, maintaining a high level and improving many of its most distinctive features. Silent Hill 2 was an essential title more than 20 years ago, and it remains so today with this magnificent remake.

While this is easily the best game Bloober has ever made, and perhaps even their scariest, simplistic combat is the only thing that keeps this horror epic from reaching its true potential. Regardless, this Silent Hill 2 remake is everything you could hope for and more, and hopefully, a sign of great things to come for the series. It's a clever and inventive expansion of the original that you wouldn't know you needed……until now.
