So many people online seem to be surprised at Milton's growth, but anyone around when Andrew turned from a tropical storm into a monster out of nowhere knows it can happen even in better times. When I first learned of Milton's initial formation and then also saw the Gulf waters were at record heat levels, it doesn't take much to expect the next steps.
