Off-topic: That website is so nice. I've never seen any mobile site load that fast and look as nice

Probably because most sites are so bloated with JS and ads and trackers and pop-ups and cookie notices, etc.

It's powered by Ghost, which is quickly becoming an ActivityPub service as well. So not as off-topic as you might think!

Tried to open the ghost home site and it nearly crashed my Firefox, jeez

I'm not having problems with it in Firefox on my end, but it is full of mp4 videos and interactive elements, so I can see how it would cause trouble on some devices.

Middle mouse clicking posts to open them in a new tab, when? Mastodon web is unusable for me until this gets implemented.

It's hard to believe it's the same software when they come up with an ingenious idea like this but also can't seem to figure out how to separate the search function from the trending posts section, or remove character limits, or offer proper threaded replies, or not tag literally everyone in a thread automatically and unnecessarily when you click the reply button or or or....

Hyperfocused nerdism does that to a mfer. Whatever coding aspect people are interested in, will get improved, while all the rest stays untouched.
