Why is a sitting president concerning themselves with the plot lines of a foreign tv show? While I understand elected officials having some interaction/participation with media and pop culture, I'm sure the French people would rather his time be spent on something other than disrupting the writers room of a foreign television program. Maybe I'm wrong, anybody from France have an opinion on this?

Yes that's indirect tourist money. Plus he doesn't have much more things to do because of the last elections.

OK, fair enough. I'm sure they'll be back, from the description, it sounds like a temporary plot line. I don't watch the show, so I may not be understanding it correctly.
