If a foreign ambassador is involved in the killing of a Canadian, he should be declared persona-non-grata and expelled from Canada immediately. India is just trying to save the embarassment of that happening.
Time to call India's bluff and pull out of the country completely sending everyone who is not a Canadian citizen or Permanent resident back, including all official representation from the Indian Government.
If you don't want to be an ally you don't get the benefits of being one.
