That’s actually pretty good. She didn’t even need to say how great her rally was or how it was the best rally or how no one does a masterlock confefe like she does

"Oh, I think you guys are at the wrong rally. You meant to go to the smaller one down the street."

Expert level burn.

Thanks for the anti-clickbait.

I don't really get going to political rallies at all, but what kind of losers with nothing better to do go to a political rally of your opponent.

[-] runjun@lemmy.world 31 points 2 hours ago

I went to a Bernie rally. Only time I’ve wanted to go to a rally before or since.

[-] EleventhHour@lemmy.world 8 points 1 hour ago

Same. He was amazing in Washington Sq Park in 2016

It's an attempt to intimidate or even start a fight. You know, like brownshirts.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 6 points 1 hour ago

So… do you think the brown comes from Dear Leader’s diaper?

I actually love the fact that stadiums full of people go to political rallies and get jazzed about policy speeches. It's strange, right? But I'm glad it's something we get collectively psyched about. In a democracy, it (usually) feels healthy.

I went to a Bernie Sanders rally, it was 🔥

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 1 points 1 hour ago

I’d be down for people going to Trump rallies to harass and abuse him.

[-] Draghetta@lemmy.world 1 points 54 minutes ago

Why not, it’s only antidemocratic if they do it, right?

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 1 points 52 minutes ago

Democracy in a 2 party system? puh-lease.

[-] Draghetta@lemmy.world 0 points 38 minutes ago

Who needs it right? Let’s go harass political opponents, jail journalists we don’t like, have people executed on our birthdays like they do in Russia - there is no democracy in a 2 party system anyway, why keep appearances. Let’s go full fascist, that will show how we are better than the other fascists.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 1 points 22 minutes ago* (last edited 22 minutes ago)

Of course using your voice to shout down literal fascists is the same as gaoling journalists and executing people as birthday presents . . .

Intolerance cannot be tolerated.

When the commotion started, Harris smiled at the disrupters and said, “Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally.”

As the crowd roared, Harris readied the punchline:

“I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.”

Ouch.

The crowd erupted again as Harris laughed and waved the protesters goodbye.
