Trump World

Worst theme park ever

[-] inb4_FoundTheVegan@lemmy.world 14 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

Yea but tbf Pirates of the Covfefe was kinda fun.

I dunno...all the pirates sounded like they were having a stroke, and the cold hamberders weren't as good as I was expecting.

None of the employees ever get paid so the turnover is high which leads to unreasonably long ride lines

[-] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 4 points 4 weeks ago

That's probably for the best. Would you trust your life to the 8th string contractors who were willing to put together those rides for him?

[-] fluxion@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

The lost limbs come complete with the threat of imprisonment if you complain

[-] Rapidcreek@lemmy.world 20 points 4 weeks ago

What are the odds that - if it happens - the whole event goes off the rails as Haley tries to do traditional political campaign stuff and Trump just keeps up his incoherent deranged rants and says nasty things about her?

I'd give it > 50%.

[-] athairmor@lemmy.world 10 points 4 weeks ago

If Haley had any spine she’d turn on him during the event. Or, do something to tank his campaign. She knows how awful he is for the country.

More likely, she’ll kiss the ass for a chance at a cabinet position and political future.

To be fair, imagine the harassment you and your family would get if you did something like that... Especially if you were already well known and not liked by his base

I would literally fear for the safety of her children

[-] athairmor@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

True but, sadly, that just means their fascist tactics are working.

[-] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

Trump will make a racist remark about Haley and she’ll stand there grinning ear to ear while dying inside.

[-] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 16 points 4 weeks ago

I notice that they aren't pushing Vance to pick up the slack.

If McCain had been having problems in the 2008 race, Palin would have been out 24/7.

[-] Veedem@lemmy.world 8 points 4 weeks ago

I wonder if it’s because Trump doesn’t want to share the spotlight

[-] ReallyActuallyFrankenstein@lemmynsfw.com 9 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

That's absolutely it.

Vance grabbed the spotlight after his nomination, and that would have been a sin enough, but he was also extremely unlikeable and weird. He probably can't show his face in public without Trump personally approving it, and Trump no longer has the attention and energy to follow his own schedule, much less micromanage Vance - hence, no Vance.

Common expression in the USA. 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

[-] RedditRefugee69@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 4 weeks ago

I appreciate your genuine answer for what wasn't an entirely genuine question.

I was pointing out I don't think 24/7 applies if it's a one time event. Palin can't be kicked out continuously, 24/7.

[-] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 1 points 4 weeks ago

I did exaggerate for effect.

[-] GBU_28@lemm.ee 4 points 4 weeks ago

So they want Haley to prop trump up at the event because he's gone full reagan
