I literally just learned that these existed when Amazon recommended them to me randomly, they use set screws so they're much more secure than any other type I've tried. You can probably find them at other retailers with some searching!

I have several pens on my purse with these set screw style pinbaclers, and the pins have broken before the pin backer gives out.

You havent tried these personally yet?

I haven’t used this exact version but my wife and I have rotate pins on our backpack when we go to Disneyland. After having a couple fall off or get removed, we got a pack of this style in the park and I’d highly recommend them. Super easy to pop on and we haven’t lost a single pin since then, like three years ago.

Not yet (I want to find a pack with a more sane quantity before ordering) but I've used plenty of things that are held in place with set screws over the years as an avid tinkerer and I can almost guarantee this will be much more secure than a butterfly clip

I like the rubber pin backs. Simple and more secure.

These style of pin backs need to be pulled in order to release the pin. I've used them on my daily bag and work coat for years without issue.
