I used to work as a chef here in Australia. One workplace I was at had the head chef both participate, and condone, in a culture of ruthlessly doing this. I was constantly targeted, because I was obviously queer, even tho I was cis male-presenting at the time and married. It was the catalyst that finally made me come out, as despite trying to force myself into the closet, it somehow was still obvious that I was queer to people. And yeah, I'm gay, but gay for girls.
