if people were to actually downvote politics that would help
If people actually upvoted good content and downvoted bad content, the front page of every default sub on Reddit wouldn't be an endless sea of reposts.
I downvote whenever I see them, but it seems like there are more, or a loud few (maybe both), for every one of my downvotes. It's not just here, it seems like this on /all too. To be more specific, it seems there are more trolls constantly watching and quicker on the keyboard for anything remotely political. It sucks that we need moderation in any capacity to enforce no politics on 'no politics' spaces..
Theres a block function in a lot of Lemmy apps.
Preach.
With all the garbage, unrelated, and no-effort posts that get dumped in this community and then upvoted hundreds of times, it's hilarious that political memes, which are actually memes, are where people draw the line.
And the Actually Guys.
finishes comment: That is a nice picture of a tree. Well done.
"There. Surely no one can possibly start dissecting it, straw manning it, or start arguing."
An hour later, there's three monumentally off-track replies raising points and arguing things no one fucking mentioned or ask for.
