And it's not the slum manufacturing you think of. My company's facility out there is more modern than any facility outside of high-tech Ive seen in the US and we just machine aluminum for cheap consumer goods. Our anodization facility is an automated 70k sq.ft. plant that's so clean it surpasses US standards.

People talk about bringing manufacturing back to the US but the investment required to do that would be more than our GDP and absolutely need a ton of federal assistance. I do not see them doing it. We definitely don't have the trained staff to do it either. Even with CNCs and robotics it's still hard work and Americans aren't rushing to it now with all the available well paid positions.
