as the title says, i checked the "Open links in a new tab" option, but posts still open in the same tab. anyone else having this problem?

using firefox on debian linux, if that matters...

It only seems to work for the thumbnails. Anywhere else you click loads in the same window. It annoys me too.

Only for lemmy. Specifically this instance (which i assume controls the UI of my lemmy experience when i access through my browser)

You might consider creating an account on my instance, redlemmy, it uses photon, which is a different UI than the standard.

There's mobile apps that are more fully featured as well, hopefully someone else in this thread can recommend one
