Makes sense for any country tondo this because as has become clear, it doesn't matter if you're a democracy or a dictatorship, if you are liking musk and face or not, X and meta can and will destabilize your country and once it happens, there is nothing you can do about it except banning the entire site, which will be an unpopular choice.
Musk especially has shown to be all about himself and he'll just push whatever political right wing party to destabilize a country.

Fascists are funded into power (and into existence) by CAPITALISTS - adherents to an ideology that is violently incompatible with anything that can be called democratic with a straight face.
Brazil is not a democratic society. It is a (so-called) "liberal democracy" - something that can be more accurately described as 95% capitalism with some fake democracy substitute thrown in as a legitimising measure.
That is THE WHOLE POINT of liberalism.
Democracy isn't a magic anti-fascist spell, sorry to break it to you. If someone can convince enough of the population to elect them, then they get into power, fascist or not.
By your definition, there really hasn't been a "real" democracy ever, frankly, since it depends on there being a state with no imbalance of wealth whatsoever. If that's how you want to define it, sure, go ahead, but I'm going to keep using a definition of democracy that's based on how the institutions of elections and the state are built, because that's a useful way to discuss political systems, and "democracy is when only leaders I like are elected" is not.
Brazil's leaders are elected through universal suffrage, its speech and media are (relatively) free, that's a democracy by any reasonably useful definition. There's plenty to criticise in how that democracy functions, especially how money and power can influence those outcomes, but there is no perfect democracy, just the best attempts at what people can build within their existing social systems.
Democracy is a political system, while capitalism is an economic system - understanding how they interact with each other is useful and important, but pretending they're mutually exclusive is unnecessarily reductive, and closes the space to actually discuss those things.
Edit: the mere fact that Bolsonaro attempted to retain power by force, but was unable to do so in the face of losing the election is direct evidence that there are functional democratic institutions in Brazil
So were lots of countries. At least they learned from their mistake, unlike the US.

Fact checking is censorship apparently.
The old system of using fact-checking agencies was biased, and the content they deemed false had its reach negatively impacted. They were literally the arbiters of truth, and their actions silenced their political opponents' voices. The new system of Community Notes is superior because it requires approval from people with diverse political alignments to show a fact-check to everyone.

Meta's anti-LGBT rules are closely knit to their ending the fact-checking: It is science denialism and linked to racism and vaccine skepticism.
Homosexuality and gender identity are not considered mental illnesses, Sex is not a binary, and Race is not connected to intelligence.
Bigots never liked science on these three, and now they use political power to impose their narrative.
Meta never moderated such discourse. Nor reddit nor twitter nor youtube. There was no censorship to end here. What this is, it is a free pass to punch down trans and gay people. It is incitement to violence, and Zuckerberg and Musk must go to the gallows for it.
Don't get me started on the toxic harassment these platforms have allowed against African and Carribean reparation activists, how they have destroyed the lives of feminists, and how they have named all Palestinians terrorists.
At this point race realists and gender essentialists have ensured political and technological control of the narrative.
There is no room for debating sealioning trolls on this one. If they don't understand the social dynamics against gender/sex/minorities at this moment, they are no better than brownshirts.
