It'll offset the cost of the hotel a little. It's not nothing. Their insurance should really be the ones paying, though

Many of their insurances dropped them in the months prior because they read the writing on the wall, I believe Statefarm in particular. Those companies should still be held liable and unable to drop people like that, but even in "the most democratic state" they won't be because Democrats are toothless corporate paypigs.

Edit: Also forgot, a ton of rentals in the area are price gouging the LA climate refugees because they can and no one will ever stop them.

This is all expected with unregulated capitalism. If no one regulates, it just gets worse.

The problem with regulated capitalism is its tendency to consistently devolve into unregulated capitalism, especially when there's a market squeeze.

Oh, I'm not suggesting regulated capitalism is a good choice either. It's just better than unregulated capitalism.
