God of War III not working on RPCS3 (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

God of war III (USA) (1.00) (BCUS98111) is not working on RPCS3. While the EU version works just fine.

(AFAIK, EU version is censored lot of scences, which I don't want)

I downloaded USA iso from Redump (myrient). I downloaded EU version from Gnarly Repacks.

I also updated the game to 1.03, still stops at cache compilation.

Can somebody help?

I can provide additional info if wanted and links if allowed.

RPCS3's website says GoW3 has problems with this emulator.

This title is currently not considered "playable", as the hardware requirement is too high. But it can be played from start to finish with decent performance on a good CPU, especially if you use the game's patches.

I tried all of that. In EU it increases performance. But US not works.

The page indicate GoW3 isn't in "playable" state; so it can run but isn't considered a stable experience.

This site regarding censorship says that the EU and US versions are both uncensored, I could only find info saying that the Japanese, Saudi Arabian and UAE versions were censored.

No.

I searched internet for a significant time and cannot find anything useful.

Only found a web page for God of War (first one), which says that EU version is censored stupidly.

So, I just speculated that might be the case for every greek saga games.

Also I just came to know that there is a ENTIRE fandom page dedicated for censorship.

Looks like Brave search got a lot of room to improve.

Have you decrypted it? Myrient files are encrypted. You need the ird file for your release and a couple of programs to decrypt the game.

I didn't. I just extracted the ISO like any archive.

Can you provide any good guide for decrypting ROMs, please?

Get the IRD file for your release here: http://ps3.aldostools.org/ird.html

Then download these two programs:

ird_iso_patcher.exe: https://github.com/13xforever/ird-iso-patcher/releases

3k3y iso tools: https://rpcs3.net/cdn/tools/3k3y.zip

First I would advise making a backup copy of your ISO. Open the IRD file and the game ISO in the ird_iso_patcher.exe. It will apply the IRD file to your ISO. Then open the modified ISO with the IsoTools. It will create a new decrypted ISO. You can mount it or extract it, and then open it on rpcs3.
