Mozart died broke in 1850. He was a genius, the greatest musician who ever lived. No one learned how brilliant he was until people studied his work for centuries. Now we realize that his contributions weren't just pleasing, acceptable, they were profound. They weren't constrained by the rigid laws of classical music, they filled them.
