Diaspora is really good, it just doesn't use activityPub (it is still a part of the fediverse), is there any bridge between the two protocols?

I'm not sure about a bridge, but there's some services like friendica and hubzilla that can speak both protocols.

Yes, I'm aware of those. I think that a bridge would be useful for people on mastodon and similar.
