That game had great themes and writing. Shame about the actual game play being pretty mediocre though.

Also the same problem as New Vegas, you can have the best writing and the best voice acting, but it is 100% impossible to take any of it seriously when it's coming from Oblivion faces

OW was better than oblivion faces, the biggest problem was the janky ass combat that really quickly becomes "click their heads while holding forward".

I really wish this game was better. Got very repetitive and shallow very quickly and the RPG elements weren’t amazing. I really like that they went so openly anti-capitalist, even that’s presented in a pretty low-hanging-fruit “every single capitalist operator is extremely blatantly evil” kind of a way

That 'closest living relative' joke got a good laugh out of me.
I think people are too harsh on TOW's politics - if you were expecting an honest to god piece of revolutionary communist fiction, please invite me to whatever version of reality you inhabit.
At least it included some form of political radicals with good morals and nuanced issues rather than just portraying them as naïve misguided fools or mass murderers. Hell, it even has

spoilerthe leader of the 'Marxist' group being an undercover fed
