I am own my own business and it is closed Mondays but I do a lot of ordering and paperwork from home on Mondays. I currently use TV trays as desk, one for my laptop and a second for my iPad and mouse/trackball. They are wobbly, and our cats like to jump onto them and I am always worried they will knock down my laptop.

I am looking for something more substantial, preferably adjustable height so I can sit on the couch or my office chair, and on wheels so I can move it out if the when way not in use.

It does not need drawers or storage, but I am not opposed to them.

Personally I use a Husky workbench, though it is a bit substantial. It has wheels, comes with a crank to adjust height as well, you can buy with or without a drawer. They have demo models out at Home Depot so you can see if its for you.

Great idea, but wow pricey. That gave me an idea to check out harbor freight for similar. https://www.harborfreight.com/tool-storage-organization/tool-storage/tool-carts/mobile-service-tray-70296.html

Not quite what i wanted, but I think if I make a wood top that fits within the work space it will be perfect. I may get a second for my d&d books when GMimg.

I picked up a few folding tables from a clearance website on a whim for my workshop. They were from a company called Origami, and were like 9$. I figured if they were crap I could reuse the tops and practice welding on the steel frames.

Turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made. They fold flat and come apart, and the surprisingly thick steel frames lock into place with latches and don't wobble at all.

I'll see if I can track down a link for one.

Edit : this was the model I got. Looks like it's not available through amazon, which I try not to support anyway, but this is the desk for reference https://www.amazon.com/Origami-RDF-01-Folding-Computer-Black/dp/B07K2S57P7

Lifetime tables have different sizes, are sturdy, lightweight and not expensive. https://www.lifetime.com/search?q=adjustable+height+table
