Usually when mainstream media puts out articles like this, it’s to get retail investors to sell so that institutions can buy more.

If there was actually a risk, you’d get zero news and the market would just suddenly crash

I don't disagree but like how do institutional investors who hold the supermajority of stocks meaningfully buy more off of retail investors who comparatively have nothing.

Retail investors hold 34% of all shares. Though they are mostly held by >10% of the wealthiest.

So I guess it wouldn’t really affect the working class.
