Summary

Former Trump national security adviser H.R. McMaster criticized Trump’s handling of Ukraine, calling Vladimir Putin a "master manipulator" who exploits Trump’s grievances.

Trump lashed out on Truth Social, calling McMaster "a weak and totally ineffective loser" and shifting focus to domestic issues.

The criticism followed a tense meeting where Trump and JD Vance sidelined Ukrainian President Zelenskiy, which has undermined U.S. alliances.

The meeting derailed peace talks and prevented a U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal, while U.S.-Russia negotiations in Saudi Arabia notably excluded Ukraine.

The Toddler-in-chief throwing another tantrum.

That's right Donny, everyone who makes you mad is weak. Everyone who provokes you into screaming ranting like a maniac on social media is a loser. They're all pathetic and your compulsive need to lash out at critics is proof that you are tough and smart and better than all of them.

But don't forget, if a woman asks him a question he doesn't like, she's "a nasty woman." His playbook is so fucking tired. I don't understand why no one sees it.

They agree with it.

What did he lose exactly? These headlines are so boring and pointless. These 'journalists' need to find another job. We can't read this same headline every day for 4 years.

He throws tantrums every few days. It’s his natural self, so he’s not losing anything.

And this is news or noteworthy how?

Former adviser criticised the president(known for only hiring the "best" people), president insults him in public only shortly after the president talked about World war 3. Where in the world wouldn't that be newsworthy?

Americans are genetically predisposed to believing that if they just bury their heads in the sand a little deeper all their problems will magically disappear. It’s the American way, hearing bad stuff is big scary for the baby.

Normalizing Trump's insane tantrums is partly why we are in this mess. They should be calling him out on everything, repeatedly, constantly, to the point of utter exhaustion. It's what the GOP did with Biden, with a healthy dose of completely made up shit on top

[-] darvocet@infosec.pub 14 points 1 month ago

It's part of the flood the zone with shit. It's unimportant. Stuck to actual issues and hammer them. This just blurs everything out with all of these articles which bring no value.

[-] fluxion@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

Trump re-aligning US with Russia is an issue. The fact that Republicans still don't get that that's what's happening is an issue.

[-] darvocet@infosec.pub 10 points 1 month ago

Well then write the article about that. My point is the dumbass framing of these articles gloss over the real issues. Oh John Bolton said something and Trump mad? Great thanks for sharing journalist.

[-] foggy@lemmy.world 31 points 1 month ago

It's actually interesting he's showing such weakness with the Russian puppet stuff.

[-] vividspecter@lemm.ee 20 points 1 month ago

No puppet. No puppet. You're the puppet!

Putin is a master manipulator, and Trump is a master baiter....

[-] lupusblackfur@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

You can't be a "master" baiter when the tackle your attempting to use is sooooooo small...

Ask Stormy.

A "weak and totally ineffective loser" is someone who bends over for Putin.

[-] Placebonickname@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

If HR McMaster is such a loser, then why did Trump appoint him as a military advisor??

[-] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Putin exploits right wing grievances to get Trump, exploits trump’s grievances (weaknesses, IMO) to get what he wants.

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

With "Trumps grievances" most likely being videos of him fucking minors in a Russian hotel...

[-] xc2215x@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Seems like something I would expect from Trump.

Trump’s tantrum exposes fragile diplomacy and misplaced priorities, emboldening adversaries and alienating allies. The article is a mix of informative content and dramatized delivery.
