  • Links can now be shared from your local instance or the original instance; the default is now to share from your instance. This behavior can be toggled in Settings -> Links -> Share Links.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed some images not loading correctly from lemmy.ml
  • Fixed rendering issues with transparent gifs

It looks like the sharing link improvement did not make this release. I updated and the option is not in the settings, and sharing posts is still from the author’s instance. sjmarf also said this was the case. And this is mostly to let others know so they do not think something is broken on their end, or they are doing something incorrect.

Today’s build is a bit delayed due to a deployment pipeline issue—it should be up soon. I’ve updated the post with a notice.
