😢
The level of obstinacy and stupidity in this administration never ceases to amaze me.
Each year the WEF publishes a Global Risk Report, surveying over 300 global experts and leaders from business, government, and academia on what they believe are the most pressing threats facing the world. For the past 3 years, climate change and its associated impacts have consistently ranked #1, #2, and #3 among all quantified threats.
To not only downrank this threat, but pretend that it presents no risk entirely implies that the US doesn't even have object permanence at this point.
Too bad lying about it won't make it go away.
Good luck with that, idiots.
So what does Trump's US do/say about the very obviously increasing natural disasters that are making homes uninsurable, especially in Florida or California.
It's all well and good to say "we don't want to acknowledge this exists" (well, actually wait, it's clearly not well and good!?) but the fact is that climate change will wreck many American homes, and having an official policy that it doesn't exist makes it hard to do anything about it.
Honestly, I don't even know why I'm trying to reason around the actions of a deranged facist state government.
