That depends, does it reset on a tie?

Only really works when you have built towards one specific hand, but then switch in a later ante. This joker allows you to switch. But otherwise, it's not that useful I believe.

Feels like it would be way better/rare appropriate if the mult gain was faster. Maybe 0.5 or so.

I once got a run to ante 11 with this Joker. Basically I played lots of two pairs early and then played everything except two pairs. I got this joker to a 10x mult and even blueprinted it because it was my best joker that run.

I think this joker is really underrated. I got my first ever gold win with it since in plenty of cases you’ll have an inordinate amount of high cards compared to other hands. Just spam pair as your junk hand to build it up, mixing in 2pair or 3oak when available to keep pair from building too much. My checkered gold win was also thanks to this joker. I had a few flushes when I picked it up, then committed to really spamming flush for a bit until I could pivot to 3oak/4oak

Useful but too complicated to use.
