The mitre cve database is more like that big block just below what's being pointed too.

But it does look like they have a backup plan: https://www.thecvefoundation.org/

The vulnerability tools wouldn’t fail if you remove that big block. They would just move lower.

It'd be rad to see the reputable CNAs like tenable, rapid7, crowd strike, sentinelone, etc, pool resources but it's kind of their whole market. Weird times.
