puzzling economists

What cult member posing as an economist is puzzled by that?

Hell I live here and I don’t trust it.

In point of fact, I’ve opened a foreign euro-denominated account and have started transferring some cash there, so that I am not starting from absolutely nothing if I have to fuck off from this place permanently. Gonna also look into getting a Swiss and perhaps Japanese account too, if possible.

I’ve started looking at both Swiss and French accounts, but haven’t opened anything yet.

Can you point me to where you were able to open your account, and were you able to do it all online?

Wise is super easy to set up, and they let you do currency exchanges for pretty low percentage fees, but they’re based in the UK iirc. My plan is to use that as a transfer account once I can get accounts in the EU itself and Switzerland (maybe Japan too)
