It's been down for me most of today, as far as I can see. Have its admins made any public statements?

I assume it's because it's run entirely off of a single old zip disk drive manufactured in 1998.

Last post to their announcement community said there was scheduled maintenance:

Guessing maybe that went Tango Uniform? It was edited 17 hours ago, and while there's no revision history, it looks like they tagged it "Ongoing" so perhaps there's a process taking longer than expected.

Ah right, thanks. I only searched for "meta", not "announcements" when looking for an answer to my question before posting. But looks like my instance stopped federating that community a year ago anyway.

@Demigodrick@lemmy.zip posted on the Lemmy General Chat matrix channel yesterday, seems like he was having issues with the migration indeed.

The 0.19.11 upgrade went sideways

The last post in !announcements@lemmy.zip was for a scheduled downtime yesterday while they did server maintenance and possibly updated their Lemmy version. Did they ever come back up after that, or have they been down since then?

Here we go, I found lemmy.zip admin Demigodrick's Mastodon.

marcusclaxton

Hey what's going on with lemmy.zip? I'm getting host errors when I try to connect. I'm new to the whole fediverse thing so just trying to figure out what's up?

Demigodrick

hey, currently a substantial server error - I'm looking to restore a backup ASAP but need the time to do it, so hopefully later on today

Thanks for asking this. I made a new primary account off of l.w awhile ago and that's where it is. I was assuming there was an issue with the updates but wasn't sure where to ask.
