Let us model the poop rule as a predicate keep that maps the set of real world objects to {true, false} and a function poopy that maps the set of real world objects to the set of real world objects with poop on them.

For all x, keep(poopy(x)) = keep(poopy(poopy(x))), thus we can say that poopy is idempotent under keep.

Further, poopy is injective because there exist distinct x and y such that keep(poopy(x)) ≠ keep(poopy(y)). The proof by example is that you would keep a poopy million dollar bill, but you would not keep a poopy poop.

Sure, but in return your night just keeps going and going until you go to sleep at 4am.

Shakespeare wasn't one person, he was actually a collection of Bibles writing under a pseudonym

I'm always confused by these kinds of assessments people make with some unrealistic test. Lumber for building a house doesn't need to withstand bites from a human jaw!

Years ago, Tesla advertised solar shingles that could withstand a bowling ball being dropped on them. Why?! Hail is a thing, but bowling balls don't fall from the sky.

Extending this concept, let's say I want to sell you a new motorcycle I invented. I won't demonstrate how well it rides or how fast it accelerates, but I will show you how deep I can submerge it underwater before the gas tank crumples — 4000 ft! Let's see Harley beat that.

I propose a new, more threatening kind of control flow.

do {
  /* something */
} or else {
  /* you don't want to find out */
}

The renewed focus on reliability is motivated by emerging applications. Imagine a wireless factory robot in a situation where a worker suddenly steps in front of it and the robot needs to make an immediate decision.

This example is a real WTF. I really hope nobody is planning on building safety-critical real-time systems on top of WiFi!
