Mirror’s Edge Catalyst-ass computer

Sure. It paints a very vivid picture, I love it.

Never read anything by Dickens before except for A Christmas Carol (and that was for school) but this is now on my reading list :^)

I assume you’re talking about the iOS feature, which is pretty new, and they have their own photo selector UI which has existed before that. They probably just didn’t make it work well with limited access yet, Signal has a lot of small UX warts in general when it comes to system integration.

The league claimed that through the app, users were able to access M3U playlists. These files carry no infringing content themselves, but effectively point to locations where pirated audiovisual content (such as sports, TV channels, TV series, and movies) can be found.

In the specific form it was made available for download on various app stores, NewPlay didn’t appear to contain pre-loaded playlists or links to copyrighted content, at least at the point of delivery.

While acknowledging NewPlay’s ability to consume M3U playlists in a manner not unlike VLC, for example, they argued that NewPlay played no part creating the playlists or the media to which they linked

The court order required Google, Apple, and Huawei to disable or delete NewPlay to prevent future use on users’ mobile devices.

So it's a HLS stream player app? I fucking hate the football mafia

I’ve been using Linux for maybe 8 years before getting a Mac and found it to be great to use pretty much immediately. So there’s not really much I can tell you here. Except maybe to install the GNU coreutils from homebrew (and that itself if you don’t have it yet), the ones it comes with suck.

I don’t think there is a way to download Xcode without an Apple ID. The App Store also needs one though you could get by without that. You could just make the account only for downloading Xcode and only sign in in the browser for it, I suppose.

Edit: Oh yeah, get Mac Mouse Fix if you plan on using it with a normal mouse. The standard scrolling behavior is abysmal.

Can confirm it is terrible. I bought a pack from Amazon and both of them have terrible DAC artifact noises. Should have gone with the Apple one.

you'll also be able to switch to a different default for phone calls, messaging

Whoa, this is interesting tbh. I don’t think calls/messages is something they really expose at the moment for developers, do they?

Personally I don’t really care, the default apps are good and I don’t even know what you would want to replace the dialer for, but it’s nice that you can.

Imagine iOS getting the capability to have third party RCS messengers before (non rooted) Android though. Lmao

That needs to be specifically implemented as part of the website. If you want to keep the site's state but have it out of your view, minimize the window instead of closing it.

I should put that on my Mac.

Swipe up to dismiss the alarm, or long press on it to get a menu for snooze/dismiss.

But Google has no influence over WebKit/Safari

They literally just killed that.
