I watched every episode, all the seasons. It does get better over time, and the last season is the best of them (imo). I feel like they started to actually figure themselves out by the last season, but I'd still say it was okay, not "good". I think I would have liked a sixth season to see if it would have become "good".

If we think of Discovery as a drama show that's about people's relationships that happens to be set in a sci-fi universe, I guess it's an okay show. It's just not what Trek or sci-fi fans want: sci-fi. Was it a good choice to make that kind of show? Well, you know, I wouldn't necessarily say "no", but I don't think it should have been "Star Trek". You can have drama shows in space, just call it something else. Trek as a franchise has a certain level of expectation, and disappointment exists in the gap between expectation and reality.

Why should Canada Post be a corporation at all? It is legally managed to serve all Canadians. Corporations otherwise are not legally required to serve this or that place or demographic. Yet Canada Post must deliver to as far as Grise Fiord. It cannot be profitable while legally obligated to service extremely unprofitable regions. It can either serve all Canadians as a service, or be a real corporation that can make decisions like target demographics and operations, but not both.

(To be clear, I think everyone deserves mail service, including the people of Grise Fiord, so it should be a service and not a corp.)

I'm saying everyone should have equal freedom to wear the headwear they want to wear or not wear, regardless of whether it's for fashion, cultural, or religious reasons.

Yikes, I'm wondering how many people looked at and approved the ad through its different stages. This is an example why you need to get fresh eyes on things before publishing, people who are too close to a project have a skewed perspective.

My bro, or sis, if you're not going to Canada because of righties and anti-immigration, I got some bad news for you about Aus...

Well, you know, there are a few dozen Star Trek fans in Ontario. Dozens!
I actually quite enjoyed that it wasn't a typical entertainment-type interview, and what other interviewer is going to ask him about taking the subway? 😆

Let's be honest, most people who learn Tai chi as an exercise also don't realize that it's joint locks and throws.

It's basically the same idea. Terry Farrell is now part of the Delta Flyers podcast and (without going back to find the specific episode to directly quote) essentially said she tested with the prosthetic, and someone else said We hired a model, why are you covering her up?

If it's a comedy, I see the potential for hilarity. Geriatric superheroes mentoring the next generation of heroes could be a good comedy drama.

I have sensitivity to certain lighting and find amber glasses help me a lot. I don't know if it's the same as your issue, but it's be worth trying. I first tried it with a pair of $10 clip ons I bought at the hardware store. They were meant for highlighting contrast for outdoor activities. One since gotten prescription glasses with amber lenses for work.

The problem is the inconsistency. The new UI has it so that the inbox is way more dense than the folders, no matter which density level you choosem

The newest release is visually awful. It drove me crazy and I had to downgrade back to the last stable (102). The content density was wildly inconsistent and text would be squished in one area and really spaced out in another. The toolbar moved so action buttons were in the title bar area, away from where your mouse would be (compared to before) if you're interacting with your inbox.

Other than that, the old version works just fine. Multiple email accounts, calendar and contacts. It does the job. Minor nitpicks, like dark mode doesn't dark evwrything, you still have to manually change your reading window colours. But at least it's once and done.
