Interesting how they just casually state that they have full access to his chatgpt history. This case is a speedrun of all the ways cops can jump across ethical boundaries.

Tinfoil hats on please...

...what if the republican party is staging all the infighting to draw attention away from the debate?

Lol wtf is Boeing thinking? They're in the middle of the biggest PR nightmare in the history of the company, and then they let negotiations fail with the union. YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO PAUSE ANY PRODUCTION RIGHT NOW!

There was only one logical option; give the union whatever they asked for, stay out of the news, and keep the whole thing quiet, which would have probably turned into a big PR win too. Completely idiotic corporate policy on every level.

The government doesn't give you a credit score, 3 for-profit companies give you a credit score. In fact, a government issued credit score would be an improvement, they would report it for free instead of charging you if you check more than once a year. It would force more transparency into the financial sector and would undermine the 3 companies. If it ever comes up on the ballot (it won't), you should vote for it.

Universities have 2 templates. One was designed by a contracted designer. It features the company logo, and only works in recent versions of PowerPoint. Everyone struggles adapt the template to anything useful. The other was designed by a math professor, it uses the school colors, but is otherwise pretty much default. He receives emails periodically with people asking to update the template, which he promptly deletes. Neither of these templates is aware the other exists, they are simply never in the same room.

A few weeks ago, on Monday morning, I was looking through a PR I was working on and decided to make a ticket to write a new function that would be super useful for my current work. I then leave for meetings for the day, then come back in the afternoon and find some time to write some code, and lo and behold, I see exactly the function I wanted was already written. I wrote it at 4:00 on Friday, docstring and everything, 72 hours before I wrote a ticket to create the function. Until rereading it, I had no memory of writing it.

I had them destroy my sample and delete my data the week they went public, so I'm glad we've finally reached the "I told you so" phase of this.

Oh yeah, a bank shutdown turned out great for Argentina the last time they did it.

And that legacy application is actually only using one of those engines and it's to do something completely different and the dev who can explain it retired.
