Sugar in everything

This smells like the dude who called it in is buddies with one of the cops.
Heck as kids my friends (stupidly) shot each other with BB guns, with a 1 pump rule, no adults ever called a cop...let alone a water fight

Man carves out half a pumpkin with eyeholes and puts it on his head to amuse the tribe after dinner. Archaelogist 65000 years later: here we see a fossilzed gourd used by the males as a helmet in battle.

Kidding aside , our view has been tainted by the current patriarcal times. Century ago and women could not vote, own property, some still need husbands permission for things in certain countries. Many assume it was always like that but 450 BC, Celtic Woman owned half their property with husband, on his death she got her half and his could be willed to her or anyone else. The Romans invading Wales were dumbfounded to be fighting women in battle. The narrative that only men owned things or did the "hard" stuff is bullshit

If it came preinstalled it would overtake Windows

Containers are great to keep OS separate from apps, but VPN seems pretty integral to OS, so I don't see an issue using rpm-ostree. Containers often prove challenging because of not being able to get permission or share data between apps ( on purpose )

As much as I enjoy satire, there are people that will cite this and believe it

This smells of "So I work from home, but want to sleep, but if my boss pings me on teams I want an alarm to wake me up"

I don't read it as celebrating abuse. clearly there are better ways to correct peoples mistakes. As adults I think we all recognize that. I assumed the upvotes were because Linus is setting the high expectation that we don't see from Paid OS and Paid software. He is defending the philosophy of the next kernel should not destroy all the downstream work people put in. I'm currently working at a place that sells 3rd party software. It is an expensive product and touted as backward compatibility for 40+ years, and their newer versions have taken a F@©k Y0U approach to users. People with decades of files are now getting screwed and the software company turns down regression and bug reports and wants them submitted as feature enhancements. LOL WTF. I wish I could share this letter with their developers and management.

So the banks paid it back by charging you more fees, and less interest on your savings

Worked at a company like that once, the boss was just like Putin. Anyone disagreed or didn't want to work a holiday then they suddenly found their employment terminated. Such fragile egos on these types.
