Do it. You'd be amazed at how many people on the left have done so.

My husband and I did. We've trained extensively. I can guarantee you the other side knows how to use their weapons. It feels ridiculous, but I really think bad things are coming and we'd better be prepared.

I hope y'all laugh at me and call me ridiculous, but I'm truly concerned.

The thinking is that 3rd party votes will lessen the amount of votes Biden gets, thus allowing Trump to win.

You aren't actually adding a vote to Trump's tally, you are subtracting one from Biden.

Most of the Independents I know skew towards the Republican side anyway, so I'm just a little inclined to think a 3rd party vote will actually subtract from Trump's tally, but I'm just a little old blue lady down in Louisiana, so what do I know?

He was speaking in Iowa but maybe he thought he was in Illinois, where John Deere is located. Or it could be he knew he was in Iowa and someone informed him that Iowa is a farming state...they may or may not understand magnets but they're probably really up to date on John Deere.

TLDR: he's an ~~important~~ IGNORANT nut case talking to his poorly educated base and he's trying to suck up.

To be clear, I don't think farmers are poorly educated, but I do think his base (including farmers) is. He's trying to speak their language.

My car's engine requires it. It is a turbocharged engine. Gets great gas mileage and runs great!

When, America? When do we all work together to do something about this?

[-] Birdie@thelemmy.club 10 points 11 months ago

Gotcha and totally agree. I'm sorry I misunderstood your point.

I occasionally pick up food items from Target. It's less than a mile away, and if I am out of almond milk, I'll get it there rather than travel a longer distance. Sometimes I pick up a bottle of wine.

I've never done a full grocery shopping, however.

Yep, you've summed it up. Earth will indeed be here forever. The question is whether it will be habitable. And humans don't seem to give a single care, as long as their life span will be over before the environment /climate poops out. And as long as they can take in money with no concern about their child, grandchildren, great-,grandchildren, and on down the line.

We can change this, we can mitigate the damage, but the powers that be refuse to acknowledge their negative impact on the future of the planet, they do not care...as long as they rake in the money.

I've got children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and I CARE. Jesus Pete, how hard is it to see beyond the end of our own noses?

Yeah, Zillow has a property I own listed as a 4 BR, 3 Bath house, valued at a half a million bucks. There's no actual structure at all--much less a house!!--on the property! And the property itself is worth about 100k at the most.

I don't know where they get their info from, but I know for sure they do not verify.
