Sleep-deprived 20 year olds calling shots is very much normal in any army. They of course have rules of engagement, but other than that, they're free to make their own decisions - whether an autonomous robot is involved or not.
Since you're repeating yourself, I will do the same: You already own an adapter, so why are you complaining? Surely a sustainably and fairly sourced phone must be an obvious choice since you care so much about the environment, right?
Try looking at the big picture and not just the actions of a single company in isolation.
Good point, because it's not FairPhone that started this whole debacle. They didn't "[create] an entirely new and wholly unnecessary product line", you've got Apple to thank for that.
I see this conversation is going nowhere fast. I'm gonna end it here, if you choose to be obtuse then I can't help you.
So you have an adapter and are fine using it - where's the problem? In your last comment you said you'd have to throw away your headphones, which seems really disingenuous now.
You now have the choice of a) buying a sustainably sourced and fairly produced phone without a headphone jack or b) buying a phone of questionable sustainability and fairness with a headphone jack. The choice is really obvious if you ask me, considering the adapter is a sunk cost to the environment and you.
I'm afraid your experience and opinion is just too nuanced for some people here. It really seems like you're doubting our lord and saviour the headphone jack, so let the downvotes commence!
My preferred option is to have the VPS inside a VPC that blocks all external traffic by default. Then I can open up specific ports for specific IP ranges.
The reason I prefer this over a firewall configuration on the VPS itself is that the latter seems far more error-prone to me. For example, I've had problems in the past with ufw and Docker where container ports were still reachable even though access was denied via ufw.
I have a Galaxy S4 and it's basically unusable at this point. I was able to install LineageOS and the home screen feels okay, but it stutters like hell when I do anything more demanding such as browsing YouTube.
Dann war das wohl zu subtil für mich. Es gibt leider wirklich Menschen, die sich so verhalten, man muss sich nur diesen Kommentarbereich anschauen...
Of course you don't have to, but if you don't plan on ever using it then it's just trash living in your git folder. If you do plan on using it again in the future, then it's usually better to make it a branch so you can push it to a remote.
Or using phone numbers for 2FA... Reddit will deinitely make money off your user data, but there's a world of difference between that and criminal scum like this.
Anyone without access to their old email also loses their account. I don't remember which email address I used with my account back in the day (it's at least ten years old), and since I bought my key from a reseller, I don't have a receipt. Microsofts response was basically "not our problem, guess you'll have to pay us again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
