Yeah kind of partially agree but not entirely sure what to say man. I've had my windows machine and my Linux box hacked in the past, didn't do much besides ruin my ability to do my homework and general productivity, so I can't say much.

I would prefer there to be more actual meaningful stuff out there for there to be hacked and or made different but a lot of the time almost all complex systems compound into or towards static failure, just look at the USA with being a military hegemony like Sparta or China slowly running out of people to sell junk to, the big oil companies slowly trying to micromanage the shift to renewables, people that believe in conformity, confucianism and "the myth of stability" ironically usually slow down all of societies progress rather than supporting an actual stable diffusion of change

Let's not commit to hyperbole. Netty is just a manipulative ass who needs Israel distracted with another war

Even if you don't necessarily believe in a God, unless you're proud of cynicism without rationale (your typical teen), considering people have gotten this far, both collectively, and if you imagine your father or mother's life, you'd still believe in something good, even if it's just the power of money, or laughing at life's misery in general

I disagree, although many would agree with the misanthropes that pathological self preservation may indeed be a very human problem, it however does not necessarily result in homelessness, murder or chaos, but it is certainly not suited yet to our complex systems of society that we have built ourselves today.

Recognizing where we, or humanity, has not taken maximum benefit or advantage of its child constructions and have in fact maladaptive behaviours is key to recognising where there is a disharmony. Some would prefer to attack the system rather than human nature itself. However this may be a reflection of anthro-philism.

But the right to private property is as important as the right to your bodily autonomy! If you can own nothing then prepare to die losing your body and your mind. Imagine that, a communist alien that will take everything, even your mind from you!

The blob will have no mercy on us! Burn it to death with fire if we have to

New Zealand, highly conservative about drug use, driving, security and relationships, yet will also go to ridiculous lengths to show how cleaning with a wet mop could be better than with a broom, or using one extra layer of building paper is absolutely essential for the structural integrity of the very work flow process that the entire company follows and is actually part of the new management SIX SIGMA protocol.

Me: "dude, don't do it, the last guy who touched that broom, he got lost, we haven't seen him since, but now the brooms come back"

Even though Linux is still somewhat popular in tech circles, consider that windows would have a significant market share for providing high value entertainment and a wide variety of tools to office workers. Microsoft Office is the dominant documentation and accounting suite for office workers around the world.

Now, combine that with the way that Microsoft has bundled their OS into many laptops and retail computers worldwide and you see why they're big.

Essentially anybody looking to do any paperwork related work will have to interact with Microsoft's system of software in one way or another. If Bill Gates was a deity, he'd probably fit right in with the god of tax collectors, taxing people for paperwork and bureaucracy.

Nah the real issue isn't firearms, it's just that Americans have a culture that celebrates having a massive hateboner for things and can tend towards violence as a result, just look at certain parts of the Middle East, same thing
