When that person is a public figure I think it is news worthy. Because it won't be one person but a handful. As I am betting alot of people who follow them will want to try it out as well.

This is advertising 101.

Downside is if the public figure has a bad experience it will discourage many people from not even trying.

I like how he gave a review of the jail and the food.

Also he and his son held up a gas station together so at least they had some family time together because he killed his son.

Almost every smart TV I have played with you can set them up to just go to an HDMI input and turn off any "home" menus screens. You also can usually skip any Network setup.

I have played with LG, Vizio, Samsung and Sony TVs all have had options to do this. (But this has been over the last 1-7 years).

Let this be a reminder to us all that we should clean out our freezers. Lets be honest I think a handfull of us have some frozen chicken that has been hiding in the back since 2015.

Normally I would assume this is 100% sarcasm/a joke. But we are talking about Japan so I am only 90% sure it is a sarcasm/a joke.

fucking annoying

security is annoying. You also have to carry around keys for your home, work, car, locker etc... Personally I think that is much more annoying.

can't believe they sold people that it's BETTER to have to get your phone out to login

Security wise it is better. Have you not seen a heist movie? There is always multiple layers of security. Two factor is another layer of your security.

incredibly annoying

Some passwords managers have 2FA built in. Just use that if your so annoyed. Less secure but still better than having no 2FA.

If you're using this willfully you're clearly just as worried about security as before anyway

I would be way more worried about an account without 2FA. Done right it is a huge security improvement.

Companies love having real phone numbers to pair with 'their' data

Good thing a proper 2FA system doesn't require a phone number. In fact using a phone number is less secure. So avoid giving out your number and use another option if possible.

did not trust the faucet water at the hotel, he said, so he filled his reusable flask with ice from the hotel and poured bottled water over it. The hotel ice he trusted; the faucet water there, not so much.

lol, I can 100% say that ice was using the same water source as the faucet.

Am I the weird one that isn't really freaked out by drinking tap water?
