Literally not even an exaggeration. Arce came outside to scold the coup plotters to their faces. This is also after the coup plotters already got completely routed by civilians and forced to consolidate directly around Arce. In the video that this pic is a screenshot from, Arce tells him directly, ”Stand down, general. That’s an order. Are you going to listen to me?”

No more than 15 minutes later Arce was on national TV appointing new military leaders to thunderous chants of “the people, united, will never be defeated”

In September 2019, Jonathan Teixeira joined the 102nd Intelligence Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard as a Cyber Transport Systems journeyman. He was stationed at Otis Air National Guard Base in Cape Cod. In July 2022, he was promoted to airman first class and held a Top Secret security clearance. Despite his low rank, he had access to classified information, given Teixeira’s responsibility for maintaining Top Secret computer networks.

In early April 2023, Teixeira was alleged to have repeatedly shared classified information in a chat group called "Thug Shaker Central" on Discord. Reports suggest that he was the chatroom administrator and that there were between two dozen and fifty members. One member allegedly posted dozens of pictures of classified documents on another Discord server on February 28, 2023. After the documents appeared on Russian-language Telegram channels, The New York Times reported the leak. On April 21, The New York Times reported that an account with similar characteristics as Teixeira's online profile had shared summaries of classified information and likely shared photographs of documents with a Discord chat group of about 600 members from about February 2022 until about March 2023.

On April 13, 2023, the FBI arrested Teixeira at his mother's residence in Dighton. The next day, he was charged with two offenses: violating the Espionage Act of 1917 by retaining and transmitting national defense information without authorization and unauthorized removal and retention of classified information. The first charge carries a maximum sentence of ten years, and the second charge carries a maximum sentence of five years. Teixeira is represented by counsel from the federal public defender's office, and his detention hearing is scheduled tomorrow (April 27). He has not entered a plea yet.

Removing rocks from the stream bed or stream edge to stack or throw can be aesthetically pleasing, but very damaging to the habitat you remove them from in both the short and long term. In the short term you are altering water currents, potentially speeding up certain areas and slowing down others which not only displaces wildlife in both of those areas, but may result in neither being suitable for habitation. It also creates a cascading effect in water flow, causing sediment to settle in areas of what is now slow flow and increasing erosion in areas of high speed flow. This disturbs the physical environment of the waterway, as well as its chemical (nutrient), chronological (change over time) development, and oxygenation.

In the long term, moving rocks brings about another issue, which is erosion. All waterways are shaped by erosion, and a rule in geology is the bigger the rock, the more force it takes to move. This rule is universal from boulders all the way down to individual clay particles. Your ability as a person to lift an even moderately sized rock has a monumental impact on the dynamics of the waterway. In some areas, a rock that may fit in just the palm of your hand might only be able to be moved by a once in a generation flood event. A stack of 3 or 4 of these rocks removes the equivalent of HUNDREDS of years of potential habitats, oxygen infusion into the water, or accelerates/decelerates the rate of erosion in the area you removed/added the rocks by hundreds of years. Simultaneously, you are impacting the riparian zone (edge of the waterway), an incredibly important habitat for terrestrial, aquatic, and amphibious plant and animal life. Changes erosion at the edge of a stream, river, or lake impact the whole body of water in all of the same ways as listed above.

Knowing when not to intervene is an equally important aspect of being a good steward to your natural environment as knowing when to intervene. Let nature do it’s thing and you’ll have even more beauty to enjoy when you are surrounded by it

refused to negotiate a point, they were intransigent and belligerent; if they appeared willing to make concessions, this was but a skillful ploy to put us off our guard. By opposing arms limitations, they would have demonstrated their aggressive intent; but when in fact they supported most armament treaties, it was because they were mendacious and manipulative. If the churches in the USSR were empty, this demonstrated that religion was suppressed; but if the churches were full, this meant the people were rejecting the regime’s atheistic ideology. If the workers went on strike (as happened on infrequent occasions), this was evidence of their alienation from the collectivist system; if they didn’t go on strike, this was because they were intimidated and lacked freedom. A scarcity of consumer goods demonstrated the failure of the economic system; an improvement in consumer supplies meant only that the leaders were attempting to placate a restive population and so maintain a firmer hold over them. If communists in the United States played an important role struggling for the rights of workers, the poor, African-Americans, women, and others, this was only their guileful way of gathering support among disfranchised groups and gaining power for themselves. How one gained power by fighting for the rights of powerless groups was never explained. What we are dealing with is a nonfalsifiable orthodoxy, so assiduously marketed by the ruling interests that it affected people across the entire political spectrum. :parenti::parenti: :parenti::parenti::parenti:

This does not just apply to propaganda films, but appears to extend to any film produced in the DPRK, as the current and former chairs of the Jeju branch of the Progressive Party, and secretary general of the Jeju branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation are now under investigation for allegedly violating the National Security Act.

However, the National Ministry of Unification had already approved the viewing of this movie back in 2016, and it is not a propaganda film. It is a story about two young girls whose mother passes away.

This comes after a recent crackdown on all things left or labor related in South Korea under the eye of conservative president Yoon Suk-yeol. The NIS (National Intelligence Service) raided the Korean Health and Medical Workers’ Union, affiliated with the Korean Federation of Trade Unions on the 18th of January under pretenses of violating the anti-communist National Security Law, with some allegedly operating as agents of the DPRK (based if true)

Additionally, another recent crackdown in South Korea has come against speech on social media accounts. There has been a massive ban wave of accounts deemed to be “pro” DPRK, though the vast majority of accounts in question were not necessarily pro-DPRK so much as they were explicitly not anti-DPRK. This type of speech had also previously been deemed legal by the National Ministry of Unification.

Anyway don’t forget that in the evil DPRK even watching South Korean media means you will be sent to Tartarus for eternity.

The Communist Party of Cuba is currently drafting a Families Code which breaks all tradition, allowing families to express themselves in whatever form of self-organization they wish, with full state recognition and protection. I will include a few of the key points in this post, but I would highly recommend you all read the full text of the official statement (in English) here.

The draft goes on to describe a family–

The members of the families are bound to perform family and societial duties on the basis of love, affection, consideration, solidarity, fraternity, co-participation, protection, responsibility and mutual respect.

In other words, a family is not successful based on its structure or the number of members. A family is a social structure that recognizes itself as such and takes on the duties and responsibilities it entails.

The draft continues, also enshrining people with the right to build their own family beyond just blood relation–

Many times, people say that “we do not choose our family. It is what it is. If you like it or not, well, there is no choice.” Although it is not possible to change blood relation objectively speaking, this is a very relative statement when it comes to the subjective aspect of it. Truth is that, beyond the family environment a person grows up in, everyone has the right to form their own family, with their own particularities. A family in which a human being can feel truly fulfilled and happy. As varied as the family structures that surround us, or more, are the ideas that people have as to what they call a family.

Precisely, the first family right provided in the bill of the new Families Code is the opportunity to build one. Of course, the principles on which a family should be built are clearly stated in the new bill and they all have a central idea, dignity is the supreme value when it comes to the relationships within the family. Hence, if the family we want, the one we dream about, the one that meets our expectations as human beings, is indeed chosen and built, there is no doubt it will always be our shelter and support.

In summation–

The bill of the new Families Code, if approved, will be an instrument of profound scope that will be among the most advanced currently in force in our continent. And this says a lot about the path the Cuban society has taken. Under the principle that love is the first condition a family needs to exist, the new Families Code has the merit of broadening the concepts of inclusion we have known so far, of putting a name to what we could not practically name one day, of moving forward toward the naturalization of family structures whose status in matter of rights have remained uncertain for years. This document, of which any Cuban who has read it can speak at length, is a major qualitative leap towards one of the primary targets of our social system: to fight all types of discrimination. This code is a mirror that truthfully reflects the families that exist in Cuba today.

Cuba continues to ball out on imperialist enforced social conditions.
