I live in the US. If you live in a state or country that's totalitarian, then yes a VPN is probably a good idea, tor if you can handle the latency.

It's only a matter of time until both of those technologies are made illegal.

It depends on your threat profile. I don't go so far as to use it at home unless I'm downloading torrents or watching porn, since my legislators don't have a fucking clue how the Internet works and thinks they can PrOtEcT tHe ChIlDrEn by blocking porn.

I've started to use VPN when I'm on guest wifis, even encrypted ones. I don't want their owners to know what sites I visit.

Yubikeys are like the same price as Twitter premium annually.

Release the vulnerability to the dark net.

I believe that there is a project that aims to do just this but I can't remember its name.

I believe the distinction is a Super PAC. I'm not sure of the specific differences outside of a Super Pac may not be for a specific candidate and can be funded without donation disclosures.

You need a line break between your paragraph and your list.

Depending on the car you might be able to physically disable telemetry. Here are some thoughts/ideas I've been collecting:

  • Hit "SOS" button and opt-out of all services through customer service. This of course requires trusting the company to actually do it.
    • It's possible that the info could be stored locally and then uploaded when it gets serviced though
  • Remove the fuse to the modem/data communication module (DCM)
  • Disconnect wiring to the LTE antennas
  • A number of people have mentioned that they can get the dealer to disconnect the telemetry as a precondition to buying. For instance, here.
  • Jump the data communication module (DCM) cable with a ~$70 dongle to bypass just the telematics components
  • Disconnect the DCM cable, which will likely gimp the infotainment if not other systems, or remove the entire DCM unit

Oh they absolutely can and will say the N word.

But it often has real world consequences.

So they make sure if they do say it, it's within the same echo chamber.

I'd say Romulans instead of Klingons. Maybe Cardassians.

I personally think that the plural of Batman is Batmans.

People who study bats would be bat men.

I love OurGroceries!!!!! It's so handy. ngl...the app would be worth an annual subscription and makes me wonder how they keep their app running with just a one-time payment.
