Yup. Sadly it's always the same old song and dance. Death by a thousand cuts because basic consumer rights don't actually exist.
Those are UK chains.
Fire the C-suite... OUT OF A CANNON!
I feel you. I can't say I have any feeling towards Bungie either way but this is more than just Bungie, it's become a market standard and beyond being sickening, it's very much terrifying for the future of gaming as a whole. I can appreciate amping the indie scene and very much think it's worth doing but there's still only ever so much a single talented developer can do (even with their five closest equally-talented friends). I miss the sheer awe of a reveal that only a big budget could achieve from back in the day. Now, whenever I hear about a big trailer release or hosted event from the triple ehh market, I just roll my eyes and wait for the next-day articles or plethora of YT videos covering the highlights.
Very accurate and I don't disagree. I want to be clear my comment was only as a partial correction for the last sentence of the original comment and am in no way advocating for programmable buttons to stay this way. The argument is the status quo is simplicity (you know, except for all of the times the software is so bad that it basically doesn't work either because of bad UI or terrible programming) despite the fact the true reasoning is likely creating false brand loyalty and likely some means of selling user data. Personally, I'd like to see the availability of choice between proprietary and FOSS, even if it's only to force the big wigs to develop better software since the bar is currently on the ground on a good day.
Always
Yup. Was totally worth it
Considering the latest from R* suggests there could be a 'minor' delay of a whole year or more, I wouldn't worry about it anyway.
Could the obvious symmetry between pals and pokemon not be leveraged as a political statement on the lore, and thus critique of the in-world enslavement of pokemon? The topic has already been covered in numerous "deep-dives" in written and visual media. So long as the creator of the mod starts being smarter than he has been so far, he could easily claim the mod is intended to be satirical, could he not?
I know what the meme is. The comment is supposed to be a satirical state on the reality that many people think they're still buying something when they pay Steam, PSN or what have you.
Followed by the call from the bank "What the fuck is Cloud Imperium?" before your accountant files it under "bitcoin" because they stopped understanding and zoned out after "digital content"
I see what you did there.
