All I see is a zerg overlord.

I sent you my desktop layout, please respond

Huh, I never heard of whackaroo before (neither did my keyboard app)!

It's a non-English one, and we "break" the "road" (also path) when we cut a path in the forest.

Weirdly, pioneer is 'roadbreaker' in my language (as in, making way, like ice breakers do). This would be just a literal name for us.

I was actually just trying to find a fitting community to ask, but couldn't find anything fitting. Was this just a simple editorial error, or is there something making the statement technically (virtually?) true?

UPDATE: Apparently, I was superficial enough to not take a closer look at the 1973 title. I never even heard of it (I don't think it was on TV in my country), and I didn't even consider the responsibility of it not being a standalone film. Thanks for solving the mystery, folks!

Clarification: I'm not a native English speaker. I've been gaming online for the past ~15-20 years, and it feels like there has been an increase in this kind of response in the past few years. Now, I know that it's not always serious: people started using it as 'no way' or meaning 'wow, serious?' recently.

BUT what has taken me aback is the frequency at which I've been seeing 'stfu' as a response to something I either meant seriously, or maybe said it in a light-hearted manner, but not necessarily as a joke - often as a first exchange. To me it still literally means Shut The Fuck Up, and whenever I see it, my immediate reaction is that the person on the other end actually meant it exactly as rude as I have always perceived it all my life.

Would you not take this as an offense, provided it's the first interaction between you and a completely random person? Would you immediately feel they are rude, neutral or straight out saying it very lightly? Is the usage really changing? Do you think they actually mean 'shut up', and they just add the 'f' because everyone else does it?

EDIT: Wow, thanks a lot for your angles! I forgot to mention, but let's assume that 'stfu' is the first and only response you see from this random person. I am also fine with dealing with different situations, I'm not primarily looking for advice (After ~20 years of online gaming experience, I can tell you I've seen most of it); I am mostly interested in your perspective: what vibe would you assume, based on only these four letters?

I know it's my fault if I still haven't watched it yet, but I managed to survive without this spoiler up until now.

I can't wrap my head around how people can ignore all those red flags. 2-3 days ago I just got a text from a random number about some parking fine. Not just that, but it said that that day was the last day I could get a 50% DISCOUNT on the fine. A fucking DISCOUNT! What's next? I can use my Nectar card? Do I get a loyalty card with a stamp on it? But it's not even the fact that I wasn't contacted by mail, or there was no other contact given; I don't even have a fucking car. Or a driving license in this country.

Just gesticulates his discontent

Wait, I think I know how that looked like.

Buying another box, bag, etc. of soap, toilet paper, tooth paste and whatever long lasting product before it runs out. It doesn't expire (fast), therefore I always have a second, full bag as a buffer, and as soon as I have to open the second one, I put it on the shopping list so there is always a buffer bag and I don't get annoyed if I still forget to buy one or it's out of stock.

It's been years since I had to use some weird substitute for toilet paper.

  • "Nah, not much."
  • "Lool, are you a lesbian then?"
  • "No, I just loathe that stupid friend of yours."

Before I would get any itch to join the TikTok trend back when it started, I heard that the Chinese Communist Party was collecting some worrying amount of information on their user base, has been suppressing and/or blocking content that raised voice about the uyghur situation and did various nasty things. So I thought I would stay away from that until the situation improves. I have never heard a fraction of information about that happening. Did everyone just suddenly stop caring about how disgustingly TikTok treats privacy and user data (and how they suppress voices they don't like), or did I just simply miss the bit where they stopped doing all those things?

Because that's one of the many reasons I haven't touched it with a stick.

Also, one of the main reasons the Russian army has been underperforming is corruption. Loads of money siphoned, incompetent people getting positions, you name it. Zelenskyy is also making sure the same doesn't happen in his country and stays on top performance/efficiency wise.
