True story: some newspaper in Poland organize a competition for the weirdest name. The guy who won had last name of 'Zyc or Cyc' (in polish, of course). Basically when his grandfather was registering his name some guy couldn't read it or something so he put 'Zyc or Cyc' and it stayed like this in the documents.

According to this guy when police would stop him and try to write a ticket they would get confused and ask him which one was it? He would say that maybe they shouldn't write anything because their boss will they they're stupid or something. They would usually let him go.

They probably have nothing interesting to say anyway. After a year or two all the scientists will be like "I fucking know you like krill, whale. Shut the fuck up about the krill already".

A friend of mine worked in Switzerland for couple of years. It's pretty much impossible to buy anything there because everything is owned by investment founds. He worked with two Swiss guys. One got lucky and married a women that inherited a piece of land and was able to build his own house. The other one was renting. According to my friend the levels or resentment and jealousy expressed by the latter were staggering. They pretend it's a good model but in reality they know being forced to rent sucks. Don't let this model become reality in other places.

You're approaching it wrong. Don't fight them. Fake interest and talk with them to investigate their stupid believes. Try to understand why they believe it, how did they get brainwashed, what defence mechanism they have in place to discredit real science. It can be fascinating experience for you and you will learn a lot about people in general.

There's a Spanish movie about a guy who goes into the mountains to commit suicide but in the end chickens. Instead of going back home he stays in the mountains and lives by gathering what he can find and stealing food. He takes vegetables from the fields, steals some eggs, chickens, stuff like that. He than finds abandoned house, cleans it a bit and starts growing some food. It's based on a true story and I'm pretty sure you could still do it. There's a lot of abandoned houses where I live, the winders are mild. I will try to find that movie, they don't say a single word in it so it's not an issue it's Spanish.

If you want better quality of life you would have to go to some developing country and do physical work for cash. Even better than that would require fake documents which gets risky, especially in foreign country.

Yes and no. Of course if you're applauding someone like during a speech or something it doesn't really matter how you clap. But if you're watching live music (especially flamenco but not only) and you're trying to 'accompany' the musicians it does. You often see tourist clapping to some music and not only can't they keep the rhythm they also don't make any sound. Spaniards usually just know how to keep the rhythm, can do complex patterns, can 'double' the claps* and can make them sound nice. If you hit your palms the right way they make this strong snapping sound. Spaniards just know how to do it, for them that's clapping. I had to learn.
